But then, we ought to have this role covered with Zab, hence we need to play him either in his preferred RB role or chuck him in as a DM alongside Sanchez... I know square pegs and so, but desperate times...

I NEVER thought i'd say this but Terry would be a decent signing.
Not for his on the field ability he's past it now, however his presence in the dressing room and his knowledge helping the younger players within the squad.
Also, he won't have players walking around sulking either.

I doubt anyone will be coming in, any free agents signed outside of the window need approval from the PL board. If we were to fill those two places with a couple of bang average freebies then that leaves no room to bring anyone else in in January.
